Update Fall 2008: The Nevada Registry welcomes Tina Springmeyer to the Registry staff!

Registry Staff
		Shelly Nye has been in the field of ECE for over 17 years working in a variety of capacities ranging from being a Teacher’s Aid in several licensed child care settings and before/after school programs; to being a Director of a local licensed preschool; to coordinating a number of ECE related programs. As a member of the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood ® Nevada Advisory Board, the Board for the Nevada Association for the Education of Young Children (NevAEYC) and various other committees and workgroups aimed at raising the formal education and status of professionals working in the field of ECE, she is able to stay involved with the ECE community on a statewide basis. Shelly is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, with her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis on Early Childhood (ECE) and is looking forward to a future where those doing the most important work of educating young children receive the recognition and compensation they deserve!

		Michele Malloy is a native of Reno, Nevada with an extensive background in customer service. Michele has completed coursework toward her Associate's degree in Business Administration at TMCC and has made it a personal goal to obtain a career in an organization that helps to educate the future. Michele believes in recognizing and honoring individuals working in the field of Early Care and Education and is excited to be part of a program that provides ECE professionals with the support necessary to achieve their personal & professional goals. She is elated to be a part of a program that gives respect and appreciation to the ECE workforce.

		Debbie Walter has a background in both administration and Early Care and Education. She is currently working on her Associate's degree at TMCC and plans to pursue her Bachelor's degree at UNR. She is a former licensed home daycare provider with over 10 years of experience in the field of ECE. She was a Lead Teacher in a licensed pre-school for children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 3 years. She is proud to be a part of an organization that is working hard to garner recognition for the individuals who are part of the ECE field, that promotes respect for this important profession, and that is implementing programs that help recognize the profound impact ECE educators have on the youngest members of our society.

		Tina Springmeyer has been in the Early Childhood field for over 24 years. In fact, you may have attended one of her classes or trainings that she has provided statewide! She has extensive ECE experience as she has been a Preschool Teacher, Kindergarten Teacher, Program Director, Summer Camp Coordinator and a part-time instructor for TMCC and UNR. She is actively involved with several Early Childhood Programs and agencies and supports all efforts for the continued professional development of the ECE field. In addition to working part time with the Registry on outreach, Tina is the Pre-K Standards Coordinator for Nevada and is also an active member on The Nevada Registry Advisory Committee. Tina has her B.S. in Child and Family Studies, and her M.S. in Human Development and Family Studies. Tina is committed to helping mentor future Early Childhood Leaders to achieve their professional goals.
